My Childhood Cancer

Eight-year-old Charles Kent was diagnosed with T Cell Leukemia on October 18, 2022, and he is fighting bravely through two-and-a-half years of treatment. With the help of Make-A-Wish Ohio, Kentucky & Indiana, Charles’s wish to become a published author is now a reality. Charles has written this book to share his thoughts with others about how to get through hard times by finding the positive in life and by looking for silver linings.

Charles writes, “May you find light in your darkest of hours.” He includes a journaling page at the end of his book, encouraging readers to write down how they can find joy in their lives and make the world a better place.

Charles has a heart for helping others during tough times. He has chosen to donate the proceeds from his book to Just Neighbors Interfaith Homeless Network in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
