Jerry Eifler, M.A., M.Ed., was ordained a Roman Catholic priest in 1961. He has served as an associate pastor, parish priest, teacher, counselor, therapist, and as an administrator at Bellarmine University. Currently retired from serving as pastor of St. Frances of Rome Church, he serves as a liturgist to several parish communities in the Clifton/Crescent Hill area of Louisville, Kentucky.

As a young child growing up in Louisville, Jerry was inspired by his grandfather to express his creativity by drawing, and by making small toys, pushcarts, and other objects. His creative interests continued through Jerry's high school years at St. Xavier and, after he became a priest, he used his free time to study drawing and painting at the Louisville School of Art and in the U of L Fine Arts program, and to take independent classes with professional artists in the area.

Jerry Eifler: A Retrospective is a full-color book of photographs showcasing over 90 oil paintings and watercolors Jerry has created over the last five decades of his life. His works of art are a testament to Jerry's ability, through his creative lens, to see extraordinary beauty and mystery in ordinary life, and to inspire us to live our own lives more creatively, more deeply, more richly, and more fully.
