A Note from Butler Books: Your privacy is important to us. The last thing we would want is for our customers to feel unsafe or uncomfortable ordering our titles online. Because of this, we have made our site part of the secured Yahoo! Stores System. All online transactions at Yahoo! Stores are handled with Stronghold server software using industry-standard 128-bit SSL encryption. No information gets in or out.
When you enter your credit card number into the order form, it is encrypted (scrambled) before it is transmitted across the Internet, and only decoded when it gets to Yahoo!
For added security, Yahoo! also re-encrypts the credit card number when it is stored on disk, and when they forward it to us.
If you are not the kind of person who worries about being hit by lightning as you're crossing the street, you probably don't have to worry that your credit card number will be intercepted on the way to a secure Web site. According to CNN, "The prevalent opinion...is that online credit card use is actually no riskier for consumers than traditional 'low-tech' transactions" at stores and restaurants.
We order products online all the time, both as a company and as individuals. When we use a credit card to buy something online, we feel at least as safe as we would using one in a store or restaurant.
If, however, you are still unsure of purchasing any of our products online, we are happy to receive your order by telephone or fax. Simply call us at (502) 897-9393 or fax your order and contact info to us at (502) 897-9797. We look forward to hearing from you.
